Problem
Prolume, a professional lighting LED fixture manufacturer, had a retail organic food grocer client that wanted to provide Human Centric Lighting for their customers and staff with the hope of improving health and sales.
Scope
For continuity with Circadian Rhythm, the correlated color temperature (CCT) of light needed to sync with the natural rhythm of sunlight from sunrise to sunset.
- Retrofit pendant light fixtures with LED module with tunable white LEDs
- Design SSL driver electronics and control system to mix colors and mimic the sunlight CCT throughout each day
Solution
LEDdynamics LED module and control system mirrors the natural color temperature progression of sunlight throughout the day.
- Nichia Warm-White and Cool-White discrete LEDs used in LED light module
- LED driver and control system sets GPS location and adjusts mixture of LEDs to produce PERFEKTLIGHT
Result
The LED light module and control system took 1-month to engineer, design, manufacture, test and install. The owners report PERFEKTLIGHT has attracted more customers, and made employees productive by improving alertness and sleep.
